ICU Medical Lifeshield Suite

2016 - 2019

The suite of applications is for the purpose of managing fleets of infusion devices in hospital networks. The product was in Limited Market Release (as of 7/2019) for final testing purposes. The application suite is designed to replace an older management suite: MedNet IV Medication Safety Software. NOTE: Names of applications in the suite are not the final commercial designations.

The suite consisted of the following applications:

  • Cloud Computing Platform: The base platform for which applications in the suite were built on.
    This also handled security, personal account management, product help and manuals and a dashboard
    for launching other apps within the suite.

  • Asset Lifecycle Management: This application directly managed infusion devices on the network
    for software updates and location management.

  • Drug Library Management: Provided hospital pharmacist and pharmacist technicians with a tool for building drug libraries which were uploaded to infusers for administering IV medication to patients.

  • Infusion Management: Provided a reporting engine for both near-realtime, as well as historical reporting on running infusions within the hospital network.

  • Customer Account Management: An application for hospital IT administrators to manage user accounts on the system.
